It’s no secret. Mass-produce with low-quality materials. Sell worldwide. Use global supply chains to maximize efficiency and profits.
They take their chances selling direct to consumers online, or visiting every trade show in search of the perfect retail connections. All that overhead—and little profit in sight.
Vianza was created to answer the question, How can design entrepreneurs make a living making what they love?
We want to make it easier for independent businesses to flourish—by giving them a marketplace to find each other and a web-based application to work together . No matter where in the world they are.
The small businesses that work together, profit together. Retailers, designers, small-batch producers, microbrands, and suppliers can design, source and co-create sustainable, inspired , inproducts—right here.
Focus on making great products. Vianza’s built-in business workflow takes the complexity out of international shipping and sales. Economies of scale enable us to keep costs down for everyone.
Find out before you create a new product line by asking a community of your peers—retailers, stylists, fashionistas, sales reps, consumers. No guesswork required.
When we create locally and sell globally, not only do we support other independent, creative businesses, but we also support local communities all over the world.

“We built Vianza to be strong enough for a big company, but simple and intuitive enough for a busy entrepreneur. Our wish is for this platform to inspire and connect all the designers and entrepreneurs who dare to follow through on their midnight epiphanies.”
Mita is an expert in a topic few people have ever given much thought to — corporate global supply chain solutions. In a previous life, she was responsible for creating them for large companies. She’d always longed, however, to create something more tangible. After careful reflection and in search of a purposeful life, she said goodbye to the corporate world and started up an independent design business.
It didn’t take long for Mita to discover what every design entrepreneur and independent retailer already knows. Running a profitable independent design business is hard.
A midnight epiphany struck. Could the right workflow-based platform — inspired by those she once created for large companies, and combined with social technology — make running a small design or retail business more profitable?
Her obsession with designing and selling the perfect handwoven textiles turned into an obsession with designing the perfect platform for people who design and sell textiles (and other inspired products). Vianza was born, in collaboration with Mita’s husband and business partner, Jay Patnaik, whose product engineering and technology background proved indispensable for turning functions and features into a full-scale platform.
